Let's Try This Again...

Damn blogger!

Some of you may have noticed a "post" I made yesterday entitled "Drizzly Sunday" which had a title and no body. That wasn't by design... but for some reason, when I updated the blog yesterday morning it posted only the title and nothing else. The rest of the post is in purgatory somewhere, presumably. That shit pisses me off.

Not that I had anything important to say. Yesterday was a day in which I accomplished absolutely nothing. I spent the early part of the day watching the Detroit Lions get their asses handed to them yet again. I just sat there on the couch with my stubbly face, eating Townhouse Crackers slathered in Easy Cheese. Yeah, I know that shit is bad for me, but I really don't give a fuck. Still, I had to laugh when I read the side of the cheese can and noticed it said, "A Good Source Of Calcium!" Ha ha, that's rich. That's like trying to convince me to guzzle some guy's "baby batter" because it's loaded with protein, you know? But then again, what did I expect it to say on the can? "A Great Source Of Sodium and Saturated Fat?" You know, even I'm smart enough to eat that stuff very sparingly--every time I do, I can feel my blood pressure shoot up like a fucking rocket.

But, as Homer Simpson would say, "A little beer will put out that fire." So, that's just what I did. After I got home from buying socks (the highlight of my day), I sat down with a six pack and gave my liver another spanking. Hey, it had it coming--it's been mouthing off a lot lately.

As for my new column, some of you may be wondering why it has yet to appear on Dean's Planet. Don't ask me, man, I have no idea. I submitted it on Thursday, and it's up to Dean as to when it ever sees the light of day. Hell, by the time he gets around to posting it, I'll have yet another new column in the hopper...

Bah. I have to hop in the shower and get ready for work...
