The Loner Vanishes

Another long absence from the blog...

This time it wasn't my fault, I swear. Just last week, I went to get
online when I noticed something rather strange--the computer was turned
off. "Hmmm, that's weird," I thought. So I reached over and
turned it on, with the idea that I was going to write on my blog about
this chick I met recently. She just started working with me at my part
time job, and I actually somewhat dug her... until I found out that
she was a fucking vegan, that is. We were getting along fine up
until that point--but you can't tell somebody like me that you're a
vegan and not expect a few pithy remarks. I think she avoids me now.

For no reason, the computer turned off again. I tried to turn it back
on, but nothing happened. And that's when I noticed a noxious,
burning smell wafting from the Compaq. It was official now. The
computer had ceased to be.

So, while I'm between computers, updates on this blog will most likely
be sporadic. My column will continue as usual, however, and I'll still
be checking my e-mail several times a week. But for now, if you will...
a moment of silence for that piece of shit computer that is on its way
to the landfill as we speak. Amen, brutha.

I'm not going anywhere.
