I had no idea that Tom Delonge had actually left Blink 182, and was recording a debut album with a newly formed band for the past year. Last I had heard was that the band was taking an indefinite hiatus but I just assumed it'd just be a couple years off.

Hopefully this provides a new sound, something different very different from Blink 182, or it will all have been pointless. I believe he does have the chops to be a good songwriter, you could hear his potential on the last Blink effort.

Leaves you wondering what Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus are going to do. My guess is they'll probably just find a replacement for Tom.

After Hybrid Theory I honestly didn't expect to hear from these guys again. So to say that they've been this successful is somewhat of a shocker to me. Not to say that they aren't talented or deserve what they've got, I just expected their sound to wear out their welcome much like Shit Bizkit.

The teaming of Rick Rubin and LP seems so obvious that it's hard I didn't think of it before. With RR behind the boards, it's hard to think these guys will not follow up with another hit album. With the summer not too far away, we'll find out soon enough.
