It was last Friday morning and Rev Bob Levy had just finished the latest week in the Howard Stern show’s Win John‘s Job contest when I thought to myself : You know, except for John the Stutterer who asked to be removed from the ballot, I have contacted every applicant to see if they wanted to say a few words about their experience. It would only be fair to try and contact the final applicant, this Richard Christy guy, a guy whose name I had just learned and who I knew very little about. I visited his website, www.richardchristy.com and emailed him my autograph and interview request. Richard@richardchristy.com Richard Christy responded later that day. He told me that for the last two weeks, in preparation of his week, he had been researching on the web and my site keep coming up time and time again. A new fan of the shrine, he would love to send me an autograph and do the interview. Awesome!!!! I also happened to have the information he had been looking for. I was really glad I could help him out. After just a few emails I could tell that he was genuinely a nice guy and a true fan of the show. I was now more than ever looking forward to his week and doing the interview with him. But how do we do it ? And, more importantly, when? Always wanting to try something different I thought this was a good opportunity to do just that with Richard. The interviews I did with Joey Boots and Chaunce were done after their weeks were over and the ones with Sal and Rev Bob were scheduled to be after the contest was over. How about if we do yours DURING your week? You could give me a recap of your day just like you do for Howard’s site, only we will do it in audio? Richard liked the idea and gave me his cell phone number. And what a fun idea it was. I had the pleasure of speaking to Richard all week on the phone about how he thought his day went, what he had planned for the next day, etc. During our daily conversations I asked Richard to give me a short one minute or so comment about his day to post in this article and that is what he did.

Monday
Yeah, this is Richard Christy. I just wanted to say that I thought today, my job audition, went really, really well. I got some positive phone calls which was cool. You never know how people are going to react on the phone. Everybody was laughing really hard which makes me really happy. It’s just the best feeling when you see people that you look up to laughing at your stuff. So today for me was like a dream come true. It was really cool and yeah, I think it went really good.

Tuesday
Yeah, Tuesday’s show went really, really good. We played a game that was a lot of fun. It was a lot of fun taking about Gary’s odd sexual preferences which I have always found funny. Every time they talk about that on the show it really makes me laugh my ass off. It was cool we got to discuss that. And getting bitched out by Eric the Midget was really awesome too. That was really funny because I think that guy is hilarious. It was so funny I got him all riled up with my songs and my little horror movie commercial that I did about him. I’ve sure if he gets a chance he’s going to run me over with his wheelchair or something. It was a lot of fun. Tuesday’s show was awesome. I had a really good time with it and I think everything turned out really good.

Wednesday
Yeah, today’s show was a lot of fun. It was really cool being in the studio with Tom because I love making fun of Tom and I love when they make fun of Tom. He is definitely a character. He is a very, very serious guy so it’s fun goofin on him. It was funny watching his reaction to the stuff that was going on and seeing him keep a straight face while everybody was laughing. That was really funny. I got to play a brand new game show song that I did with Tom’s laugh that turned out pretty funny too. So, yeah, it went really good today. The Wendy interview was cool. Yeah, I thought everything went really good today.

Thursday
Yeah, Thursday was cool because I actually got to go on for two different segments. They played some new voice mail of mine that I think they liked, some stuff ragging on KC. And then I brought in my friend Skip Stiffington and that was cool. I mean it was just kind of a normal interview, nothing real crazy. Howard agreed with a lot of what Skip said. So nothing real controversial or nothing but it was cool seeing my friend get to be on the air with Howard. That was a real highlight for me. I thought it went alright. I mean it definitely wasn’t the best day but it was cool.

Friday
Yeah, I thought Friday went really, really good. It was awesome. It was a cool way to end the week. We got to play a couple new interviews that I did with. a couple guys kinda making fun of KC. I found the German guy in Manhattan that did a really funny interview as the German gay photographer that was real funny. We got to finish playing the "What would Tom approve" game and that went really good. And I also to reveal a little thing about how Benjy has slept with an elderly person so that was pretty funny. But yeah, I think the week went real good. I think that Friday went really, really good and I’m real happy the way everything went.

Doc: Are there any final comments you would like to make to the fans?

Yeah, I mean I hope people enjoyed the bits and the songs and the different things, the games and all that that I produced for the week. I know I had a lot of fun doing them. I hope that I made some people laugh and if I made anybody laugh I hope that they vote for me because I would love to be doing that for the next 3 months.
