Heidi Cortez

Author & Playboy Model

Dean S. Planet: Where did you draw the inspiration for the stories in your book, "Heidi's Bedtime Stories"?
Heidi Cortez: I've always told erotic stories...It just started on CD instead. Then about this time last year, i got a call from Simon & Schuster. They asked me if i would put my stories onto paper.....It was allvery natual
Dean S. Planet: When you wrote it, did you have men or women readers in mind?
Heidi Cortez: I actually wrote the book from a womens point of view and mens.... I favor no sex when writing erotica.
Dean S. Planet: When did you realize that you have a knack for "erotic storytelling"?
Heidi Cortez: When i was about 19. Thats when i made my sexxxynoises CD.
Dean S. Planet: How did you end up on the Howard Stern Show in 2002?
Heidi Cortez: Wow...2002. That was a while ago. I sent him my erotic story telling CD in hopes he would get a kick out of it, and he did. But, i didnt get to go on the show until about 2 years later of him playing my CD. Then i went on to let him know i was the face behind that voice. Howard thought perhaps i was fat and african american
Dean S. Planet: What was it like meeting the big guy the first time?
Heidi Cortez: The first time i was soooo nervous because he is my idol. I've been a fan of his since i was 12. But, now.....its no biggy and hes just like evryone else.....just taller and better looking :)
Dean S. Planet: Why did you dedicate your book to him?
Heidi Cortez: After he had promoted me on Dave Letterman, 60 minutes, Esquire Magazine, and CNN News, i felt that when Simon & Schuster called me and asked me to write a book...It was the least i could do for Howard

Dean S. Planet: Is there any chance your radio show "Tissue Time", will be back in some compacity? Ever thought of doing a webcast?
Heidi Cortez: Prob Not..... It was a little harder than what i normal had in mind. I actually am starting to work for MAXIM Magazine....Thats more my style. They Also have there own channel on SIRIUS.
Dean S. Planet: Did they give you a reason for the cancelation of the show? I loved it and so did all of my friends who had Sirius. It's a lot better than some of the shows they currently run on Stern 100/101.
Heidi Cortez: Awwwww....thank you so much!! I kinda agree too! Basicly they wanted me to write the material for the show, but i couldnt cause they wouldnt let me own my own material. Every word that goes on that show, Howard owns..... So not that they would, but they could have taken my stories and made there own Heidi book and i would get nothing because my stories would be theres....... I did write a few TT's, but it was really hard for the station to write them for me...there comedians, not love writters...lol
Dean S. Planet: Is it safe to assume that due to the success of your first book that you have another in the works, possibly a HBS Vol. 2?

Heidi Cortez: Wow...i wish! That would be a dream come true! I would love to write always, but since this book has only been out for a month, we will have to wait and see how well it does. It has already hit the Barnes & Noble Best Sellers List.....

Dean S. Planet: What was your Playboy photoshoot experience like?

Heidi Cortez: It was awesome! I love everyone there and i have a wonderful relationship w/ Playboy

Dean S. Planet: Had you done modeling prior to that shoot?

Heidi Cortez: Of course! That's what i do.

Dean S. Planet: Umm, sorry. That was a dumb question. Do you offer topless photos in the VIP section at your website?

Heidi Cortez: Hmmmmm....maybe. haha. Yes, there are a few topless ones

Dean S. Planet: You were once a boxing "ring girl" in Nevada. What was that experience like?

Heidi Cortez: Well, i would really just do it as favors. But, it was always fun. It was a little nerve wrecking to walk on that padded thing in heels though.....

Dean S. Planet: How is your tanning salon business going? I read that it's the second largest in Northern Nevada. Is that true?
Heidi Cortez: yeah, It is..... Its doing great! Cabana Tans is the Shiznit!
Dean S. Planet: Do you currently have a boyfriend?
Heidi Cortez: Nope...been single for 7 months now
Dean S. Planet: What are your plans for the holidays?
Heidi Cortez: Just to spend time w/ the fam and and get some work done around the office.

Dean S. Planet: Thanks Heidi!! Check out her linkies:
