Exclusive Interview With

Ashley Renee
 
One of the best things about the net is its versatility, especially as it pertains to the many different forms of adult entertainment. (Please note that I use the word "adult" loosely here.) It doesn't matter what kind of debauchery you're into, you'll have no trouble finding it online. The so-called "fetish" sites are on the rise, and there's a niche for just about anything. Got a foot fetish? I don't, but apparently a lot of you do, considering the number of "foot worship" sites out there. How anybody can get sexually aroused by a picture of somebody's sweaty foot is beyond me, but hey... whatever turns you on, man.

Just type the word "fetish" into Google and one thing will become instantly clear--there are a LOT of sick, freaky assholes in this world. Listen, I'm not a kid and I'm far from innocent. But all things considered, my turn-ons seem pretty boring and mundane compared to some of the shit I've seen. I knew that people were into things like spanking, torture, transsexuals, pregnant women and all that (which is relatively innocent fare in the grand scheme of things). But man oh man, some of you sick bastards (and you know who you are) need to see a shrink! As for me, I don't need anything TOO freaky to float my boat. Just maybe something like a young blonde in a catholic schoolgirl outfit and white cotton panties, jumping up and down on a trampoline with a cherry popsicle in her mouth. But then again, uh, I'm probably telling you more about me than you needed to know.

One of the most popular categories in the whole "fetish" genre is bondage, which I must admit is something I know very little about. I don't want anybody tying me up and spanking my ass. I wouldn't be aroused as much as I'd be worried--I just KNOW that once I was tied up and helpless, the woman would take embarrassing pictures of me and then skip town with my wallet and credit cards. The last thing I need in my sex life (or lack thereof) is added humiliation. Taking off my clothes in front of a woman is humiliating enough, never mind the added bonus of her whipping me with a riding crop and telling me how worthless and pathetic I am. Thanks, but no thanks.

So I suppose it's more than a little ironic that I'd be the one to interview The Queen of Bondage herself, the legendary Ashley Renee. And when I say "legendary," I'm not exaggerating. In the world of bondage, this woman is considered a goddess. In addition to having her own fan club, she's the recipient of numerous awards such as BONDAGE MODEL OF THE CENTURY and MISS BONDAGE WORLD (Just imagine seeing THAT pageant on ABC!). She's also appeared in countless videos and magazines, in which she shows off her toned physique and plays the part of the "submissive woman" to a T. This woman does what she does, and she does it well.

And while her bondage videos are what she's best known for, that's not her only shtick. She's also been featured in such magazines as Penthouse, Hustler and High Society. In addition to that, she spent a couple of years as an adult film star in movies that didn't necessarily include bondage scenes.(Lots of hot girl/girl action, though!) Ashley has been a very prolific film star, to say the least. Take a look at her profile on IMDB.com and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. She's been making videos since 1988 and she's still cranking them out today, in addition to running her own website at www.AshleyRenee.com.

Yes, Ashley may dabble in other areas, but bondage is still her true love. (Isn't that sweet?) That's what her website is all about, which I quickly discovered when I logged on last night. Ashley was nice enough to hook me up with a password for the site, so I could have a crash course in bondage fun. I downloaded some video clips to get myself familiar with the genre, and let me tell you--they were really eye-opening! One clip had Ashley bound and gagged while some guy in a mask molested her and said demeaning things. Another clip had Ashley dressed as Wonder Woman, tied up on a table while two other women had their way with her. Without getting TOO detailed about what was going on in the scene, let me just say there was a camera and a strap-on involved. And I'm just sitting there, mouth agape, watching these clips and musing to myself "Shit, I've led a REALLY sheltered life..."

If this sounds like your thing, this is clearly a site you need to visit. Ashley runs the site herself, and it's loaded with pics, movie clips and plenty of hot women. She even has an online diary, so you can see what it's like living day to day as a bondage queen. After getting a look at her site, I naturally had some questions for Ashley... and the funny thing is, her lifestyle belies her personality, which is actually quite sweet and... dare I say it?... somewhat shy. When I sent in the questions, she responded by writing "I'll send the answers back tomorrow. Will that be okay?" I mean, really, does this sound like a woman who makes a living by getting tied up and spanked on the internet? I wouldn't think so, but what the hell do I know?

Well, Ashley sent back the answers earlier today and, true to form, she had plenty to say. Here's how it went down...
Jeremy The Loner: So what is it about the whole bondage lifestyle that appeals to you? Is it simply the "power" thing, or is there more to it than that?
Ashley Renee : I don't think anything is simply one thing...it's a combination of bondage as a whole.... Being vulnerable, feeling helpless....power ...submission...trust ....loyalty... you know ....the ultimate relationship...something so deep and so intense ...giving yourself so completely to another ...the kind of relationship that most wish for but can only dream about....
Jeremy The Loner: When did you figure out that you were into bondage in the first place? Were you having sex with someone one day and you suddenly said to them "You know what, I'd
have a LOT more fun if you chained me to a tree and spanked me?"
Ashley Renee: Ahhhhhhhhhhh...not exactly..:-P More like...I was shooting a layout for Penthouse magazine and the photographer was amazed about how submissive I was and so easily did as I was told... he informed me of a woman friend he knew that shot for bondage magazines... at the time I had no clue what to expect I just knew I was submissive and got pleasure from pleasing others...:-) When I arrived at the shoot and she explained her concept to me I was pretty intrigued and when she tied me up...I knew immediately this was my thing... we have a saying in the industry either you GET IT... or you don't...
Jeremy The Loner: Aside from your bondage videos, you made a number of adult films in which you co-starred with such legends as Juli Ashton, Asia Carerra and Jilly Kelly. Who were your favorite industry girls to work with?
Ashley Renee: All the girls were great to work with... super easy and really down to earth... no attitudes at all... I think if I had to pick my favorite as far as XXX star go I'd have to say Jill Kelly and Jacklyn Lick...
Jeremy The Loner: What's it REALLY like on the set of an adult film?
Ashley Renee: It can get a little frustrating to be honest... mostly due to the time factor... they call you in at 8:00 am when in fact it's 10.00 pm and you still haven't shot your scene.(mainly waiting on either girls to show up or guys that couldn't deliver...) But for the most part it was fun and easy... especially the g/g scenes... the hard part was getting used to all the crew getting so close when you're shooting and getting over the fact that everyone is watching up close and having to stop and hear things like "okay enough oral now use dildos....get up on all fours....show more pink... basically getting told how to have sex... it isn't like people think...you just go in and do what you do best... you are actually getting directed..that can be a little disappointing especially if you were enjoying yourself.. :)
Jeremy The Loner: Is it still genuinely fun to make your videos? Or are you like the rest of us in the morning, glaring at the alarm clock and muttering "Oh shit, I've gotta get up and go to work?"
Ashley Renee: I love what I do...and if it ever came down to me feeling as you just
described I think that would be the day I wouldn't do it anymore. However I can't imagine that day ever coming.
Jeremy The Loner: You were only active in the adult film industry for about two years. Why so brief?
Ashley Renee: Because my heart and soul is into bondage and why have to pick one or the
other when I could combine both? Sex and bondage...
Jeremy The Loner: Since you've been featured in Hustler magazine, I've gotta ask... what is your opinion of Larry Flynt?
 
Ashley Renee: I think he's great... heck stand up for what you believe in and be strong enough to make a difference!
Jeremy The Loner: You list some of your turn-ons on your website, among them blindfolds, hot wax and "breath and knife play." Um... KNIFE play?? Please tell me that's not as scary as it sounds.
Ashley Renee: Scary? Hardly, remember it's all about trust and if you don't trust the person
you're playing with 200% I suggest you don't go there :-P
Jeremy The Loner: You obviously have plenty of fans in the bondage genre and have even won some awards--"Miss Bondage World", "Best Bondage Model Of The Century" and many
others as well. Who decides these things? And are there actual award ceremonies for these titles?
Ashley Renee: Well yes....Miss Bondage World was given to me by a company that decided not only on who sold the most tapes but by who was most impressive among the industry... Best Model of the century was voted among the fans... and yes.. I have trophies to prove it...!
Jeremy The Loner: What's it like to be considered the "crème de la crème" of your profession? I need to know, since nobody gives a shit about internet journalists such as myself...
Ashley Renee: LoL.... Well basically I don't feel too much different...except when I walk onto a set and I heard everyone got nervous because they were working with me... or when I get super nice emails telling me I’m an icon... or something really flattering like that... but all in all I never let anything go to my head.... but I have to admit it's always nice to hear. What's that saying " Flattering gets you everywhere???
Jeremy The Loner: You made your first video all the way back in 1988, and you're still going strong today. How have you managed to stay relevant... and um, tight and toned... for all these years?
Ashley Renee: I think it's just being genuine... I'm doing what I love and it shows. I'm like an addict...once you're addicted you're always addicted..:-) I work out everyday. Motivation you know.
Jeremy The Loner: So make a pitch for your website... why should Dean's Planet readers join YOUR site, as opposed to the countless others on the net?

Ashley Renee: I'm bad at selling myself but it's worth a try. Since I am a single girl site I bring a lot of variety to my work. That means I try my best to work with different photographers and riggers so the content's ever-changing.. Plus since I'm such a wild child I do everything from bondage to penetration and everything in between...(plus I play well with others...so that means not only do you get me solo but interaction with others as well). Plus I add weekly long video clips offering the same variety... a friends section with interviews I do personally... once a months chats with me... a forum, plus my very personal weekly diary probably the most intimate perk of my whole site and one I always get compliments on... I bring you into my life...on a very personal level... whether it's the past present or future...talking about everything from my intimate relationships to my upbringing to the inside of the mind of a submissive...it's never shallow or superficial, rather real and insightful...
