There's a bit of confusion as to what is the proper name for our latest interview subject. Her website has her name listed as "Melissa Midwest", but a search on Google brought up a number of different identities: "Hot Melissa" was one, so was "Melissa Lincoln" (as in "Melissa from Lincoln, Nebraska" which is where she's from). Well, whatever you want to call her, all the aliases lead to the same site--which just happens to be one of the most popular webcam sites on the net today.

Now, I know what you're probably thinking; "Big deal, everybody has a damn webcam these days." Back around 1998, webcams were a fairly novel concept and not just anybody had one. These days, it's a bit different--and I don't know about the rest of you, but now the word "webcam" conjures up images of 15 year old goth girls pouting at the camera and doing their best to master their angst-filled facial expressions... you know, expressions such as "pensive" and "forlorn." Hell, even I have a webcam, a fact which makes me remember a somewhat embarrassing story. Not long ago, I had just gotten out of the shower when the phone rang. I was alone in the apartment at the time, so I thought nothing of walking out of the bathroom stark naked to take the call. So I'm standing there, stupidly chatting away on the telephone--and suddenly I realized that a streaming webcam image of my NAKED BODY was being broadcast LIVE ON THE WEB. (Do yourself a favor and don't conjure up a mental image of that horrifying scenario.) Thankfully, I'm pretty sure no one was subjected to me standing there in all of my flabby glory. If anyone was, I'm sure they doused their computer in gasoline, set it aflame and then tossed it through the nearest window. That's what I would have done, anyway.

So I guess that would beg the question--if just about all of us have webcams, what is so special about Melissa's? If you do a search of her site on Alexa.com, you'll find that she ranks in the top 10,000 of all the sites on the net--and she gets several million unique visitors every month. Why is this? Well, Christ, man, take a look at the pictures! I think any red-blooded guy would agree that she's a fucking hottie with a smokin' hot, all-natural body. (No silicone here, kiddies!) It also didn't hurt when some of the nude pictures on her website got her arrested... which set off a shitstorm of publicity.

No, I'm not kidding. Her lovely nakedness actually got her arrested. As it turns out, some of the images on the site had her nude in a local Nebraska restaurant, and the city of Lincoln has an ancient ordinance against such forms of naughtiness. So the police showed up at Melissa's place of employment, arrested her, and hauled her away in cuffs. It was a bullshit charge, of course, and I'd be willing to bet that NONE of the restaurant's patrons were complaining. ("Excuse me, waiter? Can you please tell the hot blonde in the corner to put her clothes back on?") Maybe those pervert cops were just looking for an excuse to "frisk" her... who knows?

But you know how the saying goes; there's no such thing as bad publicity. Before too long, the national press picked up the story. CNN, Newsweek, Playboy and even Jay Leno took notice of Melissa and her plight. And the rest, as they say, is history. Melissa's site really took off at that point and now it's more popular than ever. She even released her first DVD just days ago, which she's now selling on the site. What a great idea! In fact, it's such a good idea, I got together with The Rev from compoundglory.com and he helped me design and shoot my OWN naughty DVD! So now you can all watch me getting down and dirty "loner style" with some thick-assed honeys! (The Rev wanted to be in the DVD too, but there's only so much you can get a chick to do for 50 bucks and a few small crack rocks.) Check this shit out!
