Snoop & 50 Cent's performance which only added
to the glorification of pimps in rap music. I saw a documentary
on pimps, they beat their women and don't even let them keep
their money. This is cool how? |

Moment Another Chris Rock quote: After
Snoop and 50 Cent's performance which was laced with pimps
and half naked hos (a strange sort of celebration of pimps?),
Rock commented" Today is the anniversary of Martin
Luther King's "I Have a Dream' speech. Isn't it nice
to see that his dream has finally come true?"
Worst Moment Although
he currently is worth over 100 million dollars, Lebron James
shows up at the awards with a Bob Marley t-shirt and still
gets a kiss from Ashanti. |

Moment The
gays from Queer Eye For The Straight Guy presented an award
with Jimmy Fallon. They sucked (probably later) but the part
that was good was when Fallon mentioned something about giving
someone "a black eye from the straight guy".
Worst Moment Carmen
Elektra brought Dave Navarro. First of all this ruins
all the red carpet pics of Carmen because his ugly mug is
in them. He also managed to squeeze himself and his
new Prince haircut in what was supposed to be a sexy performance
by Christina Aguilera Oh and by the way X-Tina, having
a guitar player in your wacky little performance does not
add credibility to your lame music. Did I mention that he
was wearing a pair of Carmen's pants? |

Moment The Coldplay performance left me mesmerized.
They are absolutely brilliant and have no place among the
trash of MTV.
Worst Moment Missy
Elliot embarrasses the hip-hop community as she accepts and
award in a
green golf/elf outfit. |

Moment After a decent performance from America's
pop-punk rock flavor of the month, Chris Rock calls Good Charlotte
"The mediocre Green Day".
Worst Moment The
Williams sisters attempt to act and be funny during their
presentation for Best Male Performance. Why are they presenters?
Who cares about them? It seems as if they have been practicing
tennis for such a long time that they forgot how to move their
mouth and become animated. They are like two robots
who were programmed to suck. |

Moment Although they suck, it was good to
see Good Charlotte ( a band that writes their own music, doesn't
lip synch and actually plays instruments) beat out wigger
Justin, Beyonce, 50 Cent, Kelly Clarkson w/her ass, &
Eminem for the Viewer's Choice Award.
Worst Moment Iggy
Pop not talking into the microphone. Is he back on smack?
What was he laughing at? The sound sucked pretty bad during
the whole show. 20 years of this show and they can't make
sure they tell the celebs to talk into the micrphone? |

Moment Beyonce's performance of "Crazy
In Love" for obvious reasons. She was by far the biggest
star in the place that night.
Worst Moment
MTV's sound goes out and ruins a special moment for music
video pioneers Duran Duran. Girls On Film, The Reflex, Hungry
Like The Wolf, Wild Boys... All the great videos these guys
made and they don't have a VMA but Justin has 3? |

Moment Enimem beats the piss out of Special
Ed (Jim
Florentine) from Comedy Central's Crank Yankers.
Worst Moment On
a night where the theme seemed to have been, "white people
use ebonics in attempt to be funny", Jason Biggs, Drew
Barrymore, Ben Stiller & Adam Sandler all make fools of
themselves. Justin wasn't doing it to be funny, but it was
anyway. |

Moment A scantily clad duo of X-Tina &
Britney open the show with a rendition of 'Like A Virgin'.
Worst Moment But
their attempt at lesbianism horribly goes wrong as a 45 year
old dirty old woman-has-been-hag named Madonna interferes
while her husband, another washed up loser, cheers her on.
Justin seems intrigued at first but his disgust is evident
in his facial expression during this heinous act. |

The show was pretty bad overall and once I realized that
Jessica Simpson would greet me before every commercial in
her white low-cut outfit, I was begging for a word from
our sponsors.
Who cares if she is dumb as a brick and doesn't know that
Chicken of the Sea is in fact tuna, she is hot!!
And
the #1 Worst Moment from the 2003 MTV VMAs
Metallica.
Their "tribute" to music videos of the past in
limited to 90 seconds and 5 or 6 songs and is completely
instrumental. They follow up with performance of a
song from their lame new album. The confetti that fell at
the end of the performance reminded me of aluminum or metal.
