Motley Crue: Borgata Hotel, Atlantic City

I will have to admit that I had no idea what to expect at a Motley Crue concert. The only thing I remember from their 80's videos is Tommy Lee's drum kit spinning 360 degrees. I figured there would be a lot of effects and pyrotechnics and tons of hot chics eager to show the band and fans their breasts. Lets just say that my expectations were high and they didn't disapoint.
The venue for the show, The Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City made me feel like I was in Sin City. There were so many hotties walking around half nude that it was hard to focus on the simple task of trying to find the actual concert hall. As I reached the bottom of the escalators that lead to the venue, I quickly slugged 3 Amber Bach's, thinking that this was my last chance to tank up. Luckily a full bar was available upstairs along with even more hotties. My guest and I were able to get a position at about 10 people deep, the lights went down and the show began. Here are some of the highlights:
- Minutes before the show began, I had my very own 'celeb
encounter'. Fortunately for me it was with gorgeous adult film star Gina Lynn, who I picked out of the crowd like a red tail hawk spots a field mouse from 100 feet in the sky. I approached her and asked if I could take a quick pic with her. Her husband (also a porn actor), was nice enough to take a shot with my digital cam that is now worth a thousand words. He did this while talking on a cell phone. He is multi-talented! And Gina looked amazing!!!
- To open the show they had some freaky midget in a mask come out with some chic. I couldn't quite see what was going on but it was weird.
- Band members Mick Mars and Nikki Sixx both came out with their face painted like in the kick-ass old days. Mick looked like some voodoo dude, donning a giant black top hat with a skull on the front.
- Vince Neil sounded like he did back in the day.
- Mick Mars, despite his illness, got around the stage pretty well. He often walked to the middle and played to the crowd.
- Nikki Sixx is a maniac on the bass. He plays with so much intensity, and apparently with him, the middle finger is the ultimate term of endearment for a Crue fan in the crowd.
- Tommy Lee's drumming was mesmerizing. I got lost several times just watching his craftsmanship. It was like being caught in Sturgis, SD, surrounded by 1,000 Harleys. He would also do crazy shit like spin the sticks and throw them high in the air, only to catch them without missing a beat.
- The Crue played a lot of their oldies but goodies including Live Wire, 10 Seconds To Love, To Fast For Love as well as later hits and MTV staples, Dr. Feelgood, Without You, & Home Sweet Home.
- Half way through the night they took a 15 minute intermission. my kidneys were screaming for help from all of the Amber Bach I consumed, so I made my way to the pisser and to the back of the line. And when I say line, I'm talking a long ass line that wrapped around the corner near the beer vendor area. I had to piss so bad I could taste it, luckily Amber Bach has a smooth dark flavor that can be enjoyed time and time again. As I approached my destination, I heard Girls, Girls, Girls... Then Wild Side. I had missed two of my favorite songs!!
- At one point Tommy grabbed a camera and asked that all the ladies show their tits and boy did he get what he asked for. All of the chics he pointed the camera towards were at his mercy. Tons of boobs were displayed for all to enjoy and I was there with digital camera in hand, capturing the moment.
- Another time Tommy grabbed the mic with a bottle of Jägermeister in hand and gave it to the crowd. He said to pass it around and when he saw that dudes weren't sharing with the ladies he got pissed. I was pissed as well because that shit never made it back to me... I can't remember if this was before or after the boobfest.
- Then, The Crue's last song was just that... No encore, no good night, nothing. I had heard that they usually end with Anarchy In The UK, one of my fav old punk songs that the Crue does so well. So when the lights came on, I was stunned, as were the rest of the crowd.
Even without an encore, I was one satisfied rock fan. And The Borgata is an incredible venue to check out your favorite band. I'll be back to see the Killers in September...
Oh, and here are some of the boobs I talked about:
