When I heard the news of the untimley passing of the ODB (Old Dirty Bastard), I was deeply saddened. I can't think of a more accomplished and well respected musician in the industry today. I then thought to myself; How can we move on as a society after the death of this great humanitarian, artist and all around great human being? As I fell deeper into a minor depression over the this whole situation, I found comfort in knowing that he lived such a celebrated life and we will continue with his memory near to our hearts. His contributions to this world are endless. I did some Googling and then Googled some more, collecting info on the ODB. I was then able to compile the following list of moments I feel define the late, great Old Dirty Bastard.

• The ODB was shot in the stomach following an argument with another rapper in 1994
• The ODB fathered at least thirteen children, and his wife, Icelene Jones, claimed he hadn't paid any support in over a year.
• In 1997 ODB's legendary legal troubles began with his arrest for failure to pay child support.
• The ODB renames himself Big Baby Jesus, but was never able to give a coherent explanation for the switch
• Further problems with Icelene Jones in 1988 resulted in several court dates and he was shot in an attempted robbery
• The ODB was also arrested for shoplifting in later that year in Vigrinia Beach
• The ODB was arrested for making terrorist threats after a series of drunken confrontations in Los Angeles
• A few weeks later, and was then re-arrested for similar charges not longer after that a few weeks later, and was then re-arrested for similar charges not longer after that.
• The ODB arrested for attempted murder and criminal weapon possession
• Soon after, in California, he was arrested for driving without a license and wearing a bulletproof vest
• Back in New York weeks later, ODB was arrested with a small amount of crack cocaineand other driving offenses
• A short time later The ODB was arrested with majiuana and 20 vials of crack
• ODB soon entered rehab Substance-abuse rehabilitation is a process of medical and/or psychotherapeutic treatment, for dependency on psychoactive substances
• In spite of being wanted by several police forces; The ODB was technically on the run from the law. He found time to release 1999's 'Nigga Please'.
• The ODB's strange behavior during a subsequent court case sent him to jail for a brief period, but he finally ran away from his by-now-court mandated rehab and spent one month as a fugitive
• In 2000, The ODB was arrested in a McDonald's parking lot and received two to four years in prison; mental problems resulted in a suicide attempt not long after his sentencing
